Job DescriptionLink Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer Advisor to join our team in Sierra Vista, AZ.U.S. Citizen DoD Secret ClearanceMust possess an IAT Level III certification per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.)Non-remote (relocation incentive available)The Network Engineer Advisor will play a vital role in supporting the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) on Fort Huachuca. In this position, you’ll use advanced tools to identify device failures, analyze root causes, monitor network performance, and detect emerging trends. Configures routers, switches, and firewalls for LANs, WANs, and VPN concentrators with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.Coordinates LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements. Monitors the network utilizing industry-leading technologies. Provides innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process and plans implementation of enhancements.Analyzes customer requirements and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.Performs maintenance and upgrades of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies, and maintain system backup and recovery capability.Coordinates the acquisition of hardware and software, as well as subcontractor services.Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.Designs and builds hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.Evaluates new communications technologies to enhance the capabilities of the network.Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. QualificationsMust be a U.S. Citizen.DoD Secret Clearance.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with ten (10+) years of relevant IT experience, or fourteen (14+) years of directly related experience in the Information Technology field without a degree.IAT Level III certification DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.).Demonstrated expertise in networking technologies and security, including: IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, VRF/VPN, MPLS, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), QoS, NAC/NAP 802.1x, VoIP, proxy services, WAN optimization, SSL acceleration, DHCP controllers, EoIP, wireless technologies, VTC, remote access, performance and protocol analysis, and load balancing.Proven experience in network security, both independently and as part of a collaborative team of skilled professionals.CCNA or higher-level Computing Environment certification required within six months of hire.Preferred:Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Additional InformationLink Solutions Inc. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package to include paid holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, company-paid long and short-term disability, life insurance, referral bonuses, relocation incentive program, certification reimbursement program, retirement, and more.Link Solutions, Inc. is an EOE.
