We are a therapist and woman-owned and operated company.Position Overview:As a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Your expertise will be essential in promoting students' overall success and well-being in the school environment.ResponsibilitiesThe Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.Monitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech-language pathology.Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology services in schools.Qualifications:Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.Maryland licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC SLP) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.Experience in pediatric or school-based speech-language pathology is highly desirable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and support staff.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.Dedication to providing culturally competent and student-centered care.Benefits:Health Benefits on Day 1 (Medical, Dental, Vision) with 50% employer contribution401k with match and immediate vesting, 100% match for the first 3% and 50% for 4 % and 5% (also a part-time benefit)up to 40 hours PTO/sick time (also a part-time benefit)State Licensure ReimbursementNational Certification Stipendprofessional liability insurance (also a part-time benefit)EAP short-term disability (also a part-time benefit)Cancer insurance (also a part-time benefit)Pet insurance (also a part-time benefit)Life insurance (also a part-time benefit)Catastrophe medical (also a part-time benefit)Please contact Loren Dlugos for more information and additional details.
