Key job responsibilities- Follow work instructions and safety procedures- Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, avionics, or other complex aerospace builds- Participate in process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory- You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables - Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance - Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations- Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated- Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems- Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc)- Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety proceduresExport Control Requirement:Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $37.00 / hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure. Applicants should apply via Amazon’s internal or external careers site.Additional Requirements: Willing to work 4 / 10s as assigned:2nd shift: 5:00pm - 3:30am PST (Wed - Sat)- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. - Flexible working/commuting in between site locations Redmond, WA and Kirkland, WA- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position - Able to lift-up to 25lbs. unassisted BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience reviewing and understanding engineering design documents for electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical parts and assembly drawings of products- 2+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification- 2+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., Calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches)- 2+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the systemPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of consumer electronics lab environments experience- Knowledge of tools and measurement devices (oscilloscope, frequency analyzer, or equivalent)- 3+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation- Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment- Experience in a fast-paced production environment- Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment (including previous certifications)- A demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures- Some basic knowledge of electrical, optical and mechanical systems, antennas, functional testing and/or satellite components- Ability to work effectively in a team environment- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environmentAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
