Job Description:

Pharmacy Technician I

Under supervision of a Pharmacist and a Certified Pharmacy Technician, trains to fill unit dose orders and maintain records of patient's use as well as more complex duties throughout the training process with goal of becoming a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
Valid Oregon Pharmacy Technician License (High School Diploma or Equivalent required for license) American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Completion of medical terminology course or experience in related medical position preferred EXPERIENCE
One year retail or hospital Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
