Overview SSOE is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Designer for a variety of building design-related projects. Responsibilities Responsible for producing technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet our specifications and client needs.Perform all appropriate calculations (., distribution panel loading, short circuit, voltage drop, conduit & conductor size, and cable tray fill) required for the electrical design packages and verify all applicable codes have been incorporated.Applies standard design techniques and procedures and exercises judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to design concepts. Ensure quality control by complying with company and team design and CAD standards.Will work with other designers, Electrical Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on specific assigned objectives, complex features, and aid in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.Coordinate designs and develop an understanding with other design disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural, for design package needs.Perform field verifications/site walks to identify, verify, resolve, and incorporate solutions into design packages. Qualifications High school diploma or GED is required. An Associate degree in the engineering or architectural field is preferred.Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience with SSOE as a designer or nineteen (19) years of experience with former employers.Experience working with AutoCAD and REVIT is required. Experience with Navisworks and/or Easy Power is a plus.Knowledge of or experience with the National Electric Code (NEC)
