Cook/Culinary Supervisor St. Anne Home is a ministry of the Felician Sisters of North America dedicated to the continued healing mission of Jesus Christ by providing a continuum of care and supportive services to adults, their families and their caregivers. Starting rates are based on experience ranging from  $17- $19. PT may purchase at higher rate. 7 Paid Holidays Vanguard 403 B retirement package with 3% match Short-term disability Tuition reimbursement Employee Assistance Program- For when life hits and you need free solutions Employee Discount Program- Start saving on enjoyment What you’ll do: Dietary Cook and execute all meals in accordance to the produced menu and use culinary knowledge to make adjustments if necessary Coordinate work activities to achieve planned menus and adjust as necessary Receive orders to ensure that foods and supplies ordered are received in good sanitary condition Responsible for the preparation of therapeutic diets Prepare and follow production records, standardized recipes, and make adjustments as needed Ensure kitchen equipment is functioning properly Supervise and adhere to sanitary and aseptic procedures When call-offs are received, adjust work assignments as necessary and serve if needed Assist in all aspects of food preparation such as making salads, chef salads, fruit plates, and any other items deemed necessary by cook supervisor for daily meals Bake desserts and plate baked items and any other dessert items for all residents Prep side dishes for meals such as lettuce and tomato, pickles, soups, etc. for all residents Serve meals Assist in the preparation and execution of meals Prepare trays according to dietary needs and preference of resident and place on cart Perform clean-up work in dining and kitchen area Perform daily and monthly cleaning duties according to schedule Establish and maintain good rapport with residents and their families Wash and store dishes in appropriate storage area Perform other duties as assigned by Director, Chef Manager, or Cook Supervisor Management Supervise staff and delegate tasks to ensure quality service and smooth operation Receive and act upon communicated issues with meal service Responsible for checking any and all daily audits, temperature logs for all kitchen equipment, and cleaning assignments/lists as assigned by the Director of Dining Services or Assistant Director of Dining Services Responsible for documentation and maintaining required food safety record. Documents accurate, timely information in a neat, legible manner Communicates effectively with employees Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred Criminal background check current within one year Works independently and as a team member May rotate shifts, work weekends, holidays and accept call to meet the Home’s scheduling needs.
