Position SummaryAt the current time, we are looking for adjunct faculty for the Kinesiology Program, to teach courses in the KINE major and minor. Essential Functions Adjunct faculty are required to complete DU-wide online training, plan and teach courses (some courses are on-campus whereas others may be online using Zoom), be available to meet with students online or in-person, respond to student questions, assign and grade papers and exams as appropriate, and adhere to all relevant DU policies and procedures. All our faculty and adjunct instructors must be interested in, and committed to, improving their course design and/or course teaching. Course teaching involves teaching the course and facilitating materials with students in session during the quarter, which includes providing presenting content, facilitating learning materials, providing feedback to students, and providing concurrent instruction. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in or closely related to, or extensive knowledge of their field, practical sport, strength and conditioning, or kinesiology-related experience The knowledge and skills to teach students in the KINE program Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in a related field Teaching experience at the graduate level Work Schedule While the University’s administrative offices are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught, service commitments, and research agendas. The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
