In addition, the Evaluation Lead portion of the position will work closely with collaborators at UNM, the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), SW CACTI leadership, and other CTSA hubs to implement a continuous quality improvement framework and will oversee the SW CACTI Evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement (ECQI) Workgroup. The Evaluation Lead is part of the SW CACTI Executive Leadership Team and will attend the SW CACTI leadership meetings and meet with Element, Module, and Core leads to review consistency and collect their metrics. The Evaluation Lead will also prepare data models to inform investigators of services and the status of support requests. Duties & Responsibilities Faculty Responsibilities:Teaching, clinical services or scholarly work.Evaluation Lead:Plans, develops, implements, and coordinates SW CACTI’s Evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement (ECQI) Workgroup; defines operational policies and procedures for the SW CACTI’s Evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement (ECQI) Workgroup, and establishes and monitors the programs goals, objectives and methodologies to meet program goals.Designs and implements systems and processes to establish and maintain records for SW CACTI’s Evaluation and Continuous Quality Improvement (ECQI) Workgroup. Ensures accurate and complete data is collected for the ECQI Workgroup and prepare complex reports using this data.Will develop and assess interventions for CQI, based on advisory group and strategic management team input, and evaluate impact, providing data collaboratively to NCATS and displaying metrics publicly via a new dashboard.Establish and implement short-and long-range goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures to effect change for positive improvement within SW CACTI programs.Collaborates with UNM, consortia members, and other CTSA hubs to develop and manage a comprehensive approach to quality improvement with CTR.Represents the university to various institutional divisions as well as externally to governmental agencies, funding agencies, national organizations, and the general public.Directs, facilitates, and oversees the daily administrative components of SW CACTI’s ECQI includes overseeing day-to-day activities as main point of contact, ensuring assigned work is done correctly and on schedule and tracking utilization.Collaborates with other SW CACTI leaders to 1) develop an engaged workforce that can innovate and solve problems they encounter in their daily work, 2) teach and use a systematic methodology that respects individuals and their knowledge to identify problems and solutions, and 3) clarify and apply a system-level standardized approach to process improvement.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Demonstrated management skills, including critical thinking, strategic planning, project management, organization, problem-solving, decision-making, attention to detail, delegation, communication, and time management.Demonstrated leadership skills, including motivating others, strong and tactful communication, collaboration, listening, and relationship building.Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.Ability to independently work on multiple projects and adapt to diversity of job tasks.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy.Ability to work in a team environment requiring coordination and collaboration between different functional teams.Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.Ability to serve on task forces and/or committees.Program planning and implementation skills.Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.Ability to design and implement systems necessary to collect, maintain, and analyze data.Knowledge of management principles and practices.Skill in developing policy and procedure documentation.
