BD Advanced Patient Monitoring's technologies are often used simultaneously with the BD Alaris™ Infusion System in the operating room or intensive care units. The combination of BD's new advanced monitoring and existing infusion platforms enables future innovation opportunities for closed-loop hemodynamic monitoring and IV fluid and medication administration by integrating combined company data sets and interoperability capabilities.The Director of Innovation will lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and accelerate early-stage business opportunities that drive growth and differentiation. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our portfolio by partnering closely with research teams across the business unit to develop and commercialize advanced solutions in algorithms, sensors, and capital platforms.Key Responsibilities:Innovation Partnership: Collaborate with internal R&D, product development, and innovation partners to translate emerging technologies into market-ready solutions.Market Opportunity Assessment: Conduct deep market analysis to identify unmet needs, disruptive trends, and whitespace opportunities in algorithm-driven, sensor-based, and capital product domains.Strategic Roadmapping: Develop and maintain strategic marketing plans for early-stage initiatives, aligning with corporate growth objectives.Business Case Development: Build robust business cases for new concepts, including market sizing, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and ROI projections.Go-to-Market Strategy: Define commercialization pathways for innovative solutions, including positioning, messaging, and launch strategies.Voice of Customer: Engage with key stakeholders, customers, and thought leaders to validate concepts and refine value propositions.Required Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of experience in global marketing within the medical device industry with a consistent track record of high performance and resultsStrong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments, managing multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.Results-driven and action-oriented with a track record of delivering outcomes.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Experience working with international teams and willingness to travel globally.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and key influencers.High integrity and alignment with BD’s core values.Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.Preferred Qualifications:Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.Education:Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a technical field required.MBA preferred.This job description is intended as a summary of the primary responsibilities of and qualifications for this position.
