  • Proficient in utilizing payroll systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now or Run, to process payroll accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Addressing employee inquiries related to payroll issues and discrepancies.
  • Managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and other related benefits.
  • Collaborating with benefits providers to ensure smooth enrollment processes and timely resolution of benefit-related issues.
  • Educating employees on available benefits options and assisting with benefits-related inquiries.
  • Staying abreast of changes in federal and state employment laws and regulations, particularly those pertaining to payroll and benefits administration.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA).
  • Assisting the client in managing employee relations, ensuring a positive work environment and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, including payroll data, benefits elections, and compliance documentation Ensuring confidentiality and privacy of employee information and sensitive HR data.
  • Collaborating with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in HR processes and practices.
  • Partnering with external vendors, such as benefits brokers and payroll service providers, to optimize HR service delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of HR experience, USA payroll and benefit exposure is a plus.
  • Proficient understanding of employment laws and regulations, particularly in the USA.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective engagement across all levels of the organization.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Canadian HR functions, including payroll and benefits management, is also highly valued.
