Adjunct Instructor, Mathematics, UC Blue Ash College

Job OverviewAdjunct faculty must be able to teach mathematics courses ranging from the developmental (pre-college) level through calculus. Courses offered may include day, evening, or online meeting times. Adjunct faculty should be available to teach in-person.  Adjunct faculty members will be expected to (1) use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems; (2) hold regular office hours to meet with students; and (3) participate in at least one professional development workshop per year. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.Essential Functions On a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses. Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities. Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications. Other related duties as assigned. Required Education A Master’s Degree (or higher) in: Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or related field OR at least 18 credit hours of graduate level coursework in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.Required Experience Previous teaching experience is required.Additional Qualifications Considered Knowledge of issues in math education and classroom technology.
