The Procurement Manager leads the staff and the procurement activities within a business unit.
Plans, coordinates, and directs various complex procurement and material processes from the initial proposal efforts through the delivery of the end product. Ensures that the procurement procedures are in compliance with government laws (domestic/international), regulations, and management objectives.

Responsibilities:
* Manages supplier cost, quality, and delivery, driving resolution within the site team and, where necessary, escalating for additional support; implement actions to resolve supplier non-conformance issues.
* Supports sourcing of new products and new product introduction activities in line with company policies, processes, and strategy as assigned.
* Organizes, directs and implements cost reduction activities to ensure maximum return to the division for minimum expenditures
* Implements processes to manage risk within the supply chain and monitors procurement procedures to comply with government laws (domestic/international), regulations, and company policy
* Manages contractual differences between purchase order requirements and supplier performance; establishes contractual obligations, while ensuring compliance with laws and truth in negotiations
* Raises orders and expedite deliveries to support site manufacturing needs; support and implement inventory reduction actions to meet inventory goals.
* Participates in site-specific procurement and supplier quality development when required including but not limited to when materials or services procured are unique to the site or to support new program introduction.
* Monitors the changing marketplace and work-around plans to avoid negative impact on corporate cost and delivery performance objectives
* Plans tactics and strategies for negotiations of subcontracts to maintain expenditures within program material budget limitation
* Develop and deploy (in conjunction with Division and group teams) Procurement processes and practices to drive continuous improvement and aligned activities across the company.
* Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
* Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree required
* 7 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain
* SAP experienced preferred
* Prior Aerospace/Manufacturing experience preferred

Skills and Knowledge:
* Excellent facilitation and project management skills with the ability to lead the procurement team and drive tasks to completion
* Knowledge of procurement best practices and experience with managing tight development program deadlines in aerospace/manufacturing environment
* Understanding of contracts, compliance, and government laws (domestic/international) relating to procurement
* Experience negotiating license contracts with a track record of success negotiating with a variety of suppliers
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to drive tasks to completion
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools

Descripción del trabajo:
El Gerente de Adquisiciones dirige al personal y las actividades de adquisiciones dentro de una unidad de negocios.
Planifica, coordina y dirige diversos procesos complejos de adquisiciones y materiales desde los esfuerzos de propuesta inicial hasta la entrega del producto final. * Apoya el abastecimiento de nuevos productos y las actividades de introducción de nuevos productos en línea con las políticas, los procesos y la estrategia de la empresa asignados.
* Organiza, dirige e implementa actividades de reducción de costos para garantizar el máximo retorno a la división con gastos mínimos.
* Implementa procesos para gestionar el riesgo dentro de la cadena de suministro y monitorea los procedimientos de adquisición para cumplir con las leyes gubernamentales (nacionales/internacionales), las regulaciones y la política de la empresa.
* Gestiona diferencias contractuales entre requisitos de orden de compra y desempeño del proveedor; establece obligaciones contractuales, garantizando al mismo tiempo el cumplimiento de las leyes y la verdad en las negociaciones
* Aumenta los pedidos y acelera las entregas para respaldar las necesidades de fabricación del sitio; Apoyar e implementar acciones de reducción de inventario para cumplir con los objetivos de inventario.
* Participa en adquisiciones específicas del sitio y desarrollo de calidad de proveedores cuando sea necesario, incluido, entre otros, cuando los materiales o servicios adquiridos son exclusivos del sitio o para respaldar la introducción de un nuevo programa.
* Supervisa el mercado cambiante y los planes alternativos para evitar el impacto negativo en los costos corporativos y los objetivos de desempeño de entrega.
* Planifica tácticas y estrategias para negociaciones de subcontratos para mantener los gastos dentro de la limitación del presupuesto de material del programa.

Educación y experiencia:
* Se requiere título de licenciatura
* 7 años de experiencia en fabricación y cadena de suministro.
*Se prefiere con experiencia en SAP
* Se prefiere experiencia previa en el sector aeroespacial/de fabricación.

Habilidades y conocimientos:
* Excelentes habilidades de facilitación y gestión de proyectos con la capacidad de liderar el equipo de adquisiciones e impulsar las tareas hasta su finalización.
* Conocimiento de las mejores prácticas de adquisiciones y experiencia en la gestión de plazos ajustados de programas de desarrollo en entornos aeroespaciales/de fabricación.
