This is a high-level, in-office role with some remote flexibility for a seasoned litigator who thrives in complex injury and medical negligence cases.This firm is known for its family-oriented culture, strong trial reputation, and commitment to both clients and employees. About the RoleThis attorney will handle plaintiff-side personal injury and medical malpractice matters, with a strong emphasis on pre-litigation, injury litigation, and trials. The role involves significant courtroom exposure, medical analysis, and high-value settlement and trial work in state and federal courts. Responsibilities Handle medical malpractice and serious personal injury cases from intake through trialConduct and defend depositions, hearings, and court conferencesDraft and argue procedural and substantive motionsPrepare and conduct jury trialsPerform in-depth medical record analysis and evaluate causationNegotiate settlements and participate in ADR forumsCommunicate extensively with clients, medical professionals, experts, and opposing counsel Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law schoolLicensed and in good standing in Illinois (required)3+ years of personal injury and medical malpractice litigation experienceDemonstrated trial readiness and courtroom confidenceSelf-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills Required Skills Exceptional legal writing (briefs, motions, memoranda, correspondence)Strong medical knowledge, including anatomy and causation analysisProficiency with discovery, depositions, hearings, and trialsAdvanced research and computer skillsStrong interpersonal communication with clients, attorneys, doctors, and third parties Compensation & Benefits Performance-based bonusesFully paid health insurance for the employeeDental, Vision, Life Insurance401(k) with matchingPaid Time Off (PTO)Long-term opportunity with a growing plaintiff-side practice Interested?If you're a seasoned Trial Attorney ready to join a high-caliber plaintiff practice, reach out to Chad Calcaterra at gpac for confidential consideration.
