Systems AdministratorThe Opportunity:As a VMware Administrator on our project, you’ll constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies while updating and patching critical systems. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the teamwork through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. The world can't wait.You Have:Experience as a VMware, Windows, or VDI system administratorExperience with domain controllers, thin and thick clients, and virtual environmentsKnowledge of computing infrastructures, hardware and software troubleshooting, and Windows and Linux operating systemsAbility to work shift work in support of 24/7/365 operationsAbility to work on a matrixed team comprised of IT, systems administrators, and network administratorsTS/SCI clearanceHS diploma or GEDDoD 8570 Compliance Certification, including Security+ CE, SSCP, or GSECNice If You Have:Experience with network administrationExperience with network and IT program managementExperience with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment, network monitoring and logging tools, and thin and zero client solutionsExperience with administering US Air Force or DoD computersPossession of excellent troubleshooting skillsBachelor's degree in CSCCNA or VCP CertificationMicrosoft Certified Solutions Associate, Certified IT Professional, or 2008 or newer Server Administrator CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
