We are currently recruiting for the position of:  AS400 Developer - Modesto, CA Job Summary: The AS400 Developer III exercises discretion and independent judgement while performing key responsibilities in the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications. The position assists in the definition, design, development, improvement and documentation of software business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project by projects basis in collaboration with business analysts and other business partners. The position works independently and on more complex tasks to accomplish the strategic business objectives of the Information Technology Development team.The AS400 Developer III will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing business applications on the IBM iSeries (AS400) platform using RPG programming language. This role requires strong technical expertise in legacy systems integration and modern business application development.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, and implement RPG programs and applications on IBM iSeries platformMaintain and enhance existing AS400 applications and systemsCreate and modify RPG, RPG ILE, RPGIV, and CL programsDevelop and maintain SQL-based reports and data extraction programsTroubleshoot and resolve application issues and system problemsIntegrate AS400 systems with modern applications and databasesDesign and implement file structures, databases, and data access methodsPerform data conversions and migrations between systemsWork with DB2 for database management and optimizationCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentationProvide production support and participate in on-call rotationCollaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutionsParticipate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standardsPerform other duties as assigned Some of our competitive offerings include generous benefits packages (Health, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, 401K), tuition reimbursement and scholarship opportunities, vacation and personal holidays, and in-store purchase discounts.
