Job Description The Lead Golf Shop Attendant, under the direction of the Golf Clubhouse Manager, assists with the daily operations of the golf clubhouse. Essential Functions: Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required. All Cleveland Metroparks employees must be prepared to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required. Assists with the supervision of daily clubhouse operations including: Adjusts tee sheets to optimize between programs and general play; ensures proper green fees are charged; reviews daily POS reports to ensure correct accounting; troubleshoots POS system operation. Oversees all aspects of guest service and maintains communication between clubhouse staff, grounds staff, and guests to ensure programs and maintenance events are understood. Assists in the training, and supervision of seasonal staff and volunteer staff: Supports changes to staffing levels based on programs, seasons, and weather; trains new staff on use of POS system and customer service; supervises clubhouse and pro shop staff. Assists in maintaining merchandise and supply inventories: Cleans displays daily and rotates displays weekly; assists in the selection of merchandise for special promotions; maintains clubhouse inventory of merchandise and supplies, including ordering, physical inventory, and stocking; and supports preparation of golf carts. Prepares accounting records and reports: Performs accounts receivable and payable functions; audits and verifies daily sales receipts and creates weekly sales summaries; prepares monthly inventory reports; reviews budget to ensure proper expense timing. Serves as the manager on duty in the absence of the Golf Clubhouse Manager. Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns. Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel. Updates and enhances own knowledge by involvement in continuing education for professional growth (i.e., attends relevant conferences, seminars, in-service trainings, and certification programs) Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
