Enliven Home Infusion Specialists Arizona - POSITION OVERVIEWThe Enliven Home Infusion Specialist, LLC, Director of Nursing (DON) is expected to lead a home infusion nursing team. This pivotal role ensures the delivery of exceptional, safe, and compliant clinical care to patients receiving infusion therapies in their homes or infusion suites. The ideal Director of Nursing will be a strategic leader, a clinical expert in infusion therapy, and a passionate advocate for both patient care and nursing excellence. JOB SUMMARYMinimum Requirements ●      Completion of training/education from an accredited school of nursing●      Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse License●      Two years of nursing management experience●      Five years of acute care experience within an acute hospital, home health, or home infusion environment●      Must pass Enliven panel interview, background check, drug screen, and other mandatory requirements (see Enliven Policies and Procedures)●      Must maintain a current Certification in Basic Life Support Note: Enliven administration/ownership can make exceptions to the work experience requirements, depending on the individual’s qualifications, experience, panel interview results, and the necessity of filling this position. Licensure Requirements ●      Will obtain and maintain, as needed, a registered nurse license in other states needing administrative and nursing/staffing support●      Areas of administrative nursing responsibility include, but are not limited to: Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, Alabama, Utah, Wyoming, Indiana, Missouri, and Idaho KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLeadership & Management ●      Oversee and be accountable for all clinical operations for the home infusion nursing department●      Manage and direct ALL of Enliven’s Area Nurse Managers, their Lead Nurses, and Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem nurses●      Will oversee and assist the Quality Control Supervisor, the Plan of Treatment (POT) Team, and the Quality Assurance of ALL (nursing forms, POTs) nursing documentation.●      Assist the onboarding team with the processes of interviewing, selecting, training, and retaining nurses across all nursing service areas●      Develop plans of action and follow-up for nurses who may need corrective action or remedial training●      Collaborate with Enliven Ownership to complete performance evaluations for each Area Nurse Manager●      Collaborate with each Area Nurse Manager and Enliven Ownership to complete performance evaluations of all Lead Nurses, full-time, part-time, and per diem nurses●      Assist in mentoring to motivate, develop, recruit, and retain nurses and nurse leaders within Enliven●      Participate with Enliven Ownership in the decision-making process for disciplinary actions of nurses Operational Management ●      Assist in the planning and budgeting for the provision of nursing services●      Monitor the daily and weekly work hours of all full-time, part-time, and per diem staff to avoid overtime●      Delegate differing daily tasks, as needed, to all full-time, part-time, and per diem staff●      Develop expected daily tasks, assignments, work expectations, and workflows for all full-time, part-time, and per diem staff●      Maintain management tools and schedules in support of patient care delivery●      Review and approve employees’ time and attendance●      Assist the Enliven onboarding department in managing and updating all nurse (full-time, part-time, per diem, and contracted) licenses and certifications Clinical Oversight & Quality Assurance ●      Monitor all nurses to ensure they follow the expectations and requirements of all contracted specialty pharmacies and infusion suites.●      Ensure all nurses follow nationally standardized nursing care/precautions and procedures to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.●      Ensure all nurses follow medical provider orders as ordered, but will question the specialty pharmacy and medical provider if orders need clarification or changes to ensure the therapy is given correctly and safely to each patient●      Participate in scheduled on-site visits with full-time, part-time, and per diem nurses to ensure appropriate nursing care is provided and that policies and procedures are followed.●      Be involved in scheduled on-site visits with contracted nurses to ensure appropriate nursing care is provided and that specialty pharmacy and infusion suite requirements are followed.●      Assist in creating, reviewing, tracking, and collecting a Plan of Treatment (POT) for each patient.●      Conduct and collect patient surveys.●      Assist in the daily quality assurance (QA - chart review) of charts submitted by nurses.●      Investigate and follow up on all reported situational occurrences involving each patient.●      Will report and develop an action plan for each pharmacy regarding any situational occurrences involving patient care. Training & Development ●      Maintain an orientation program for new nurses to ensure that required training is completed and that nurses are confident and competent in providing appropriate care to patients and administering treatments ordered by the patient’s physician.●      Train staff and patients on all procedures and equipment●      Provide new and current nurses (full-time, part-time, per diem, and contracted) with resources and classes related to infusion therapy●      Achieve certifications (IgCN, CRNI) from the Immunoglobulin National Society (IgNS) and/or Infusion Nurses Society (INS). Must be obtained within two years of hire date●      Advanced knowledge of infusion practices such as Immune Globulin therapy, auto-immune therapy, and other specialty therapies, as well as adjunct therapies, vascular access devices, and infusion pumps used by the company Policy & Compliance ●      Participate in the development and implementation of new policies, including policies relating to the care of patients●      Will follow, adhere to, implement, and enforce the policies and procedures written in Enliven’s Employee Handbook.●      Lead and participate in committee meetings to help resolve issues, discuss trends, or to enforce, create, and/or amend policies and procedures●      With the assistance of Enliven ownership, assist in the maintenance of current Home Health Licenses in the states of Texas, Colorado, and Wyoming●      With the assistance of Enliven ownership, assist in the maintenance of the current Nursing Pool License for the state of Nevada.●      With the assistance of Enliven ownership, assist in the maintenance of future Home Health and Nursing Pool Licences. Patient Care Coordination ●      Responsible for the delivery of in-home, infusion patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients●      When assigned and needed, visit patients and document the client’s compliance, progress, and all necessary information.●      Provide direct patient care as ordered by a medical provider and allowed by state law.●      Coordinate patient care with other home care agencies and specialty pharmacies as necessary.●      Provide guidance and direction to Enliven staff regarding infusion nursing●      Communicate daily and as needed with contracted pharmacy team members and Enliven’s Intake and Scheduling Team regarding care coordination and other home care services for each patient●      Assist the intake and scheduling team by infusing patients who do not have an assigned nurse to initiate a start of care (SOC) and temporarily infusing patients whose nurse has called in sick, is on vacation, or is not available●      Act as a consistent liaison among patients, their families, caregivers, medical providers, and specialty pharmacies and infusion suites to optimize patient outcomes●      Demonstrate familiarity with clinical treatment guidelines and resources throughout the disease process●      Assist, when needed, in the acceptance and coordination/scheduling of new and existing patients within the service areas of Enliven●      Assist the Enliven Administration in starting patients in towns/cities throughout Enliven’s service areas Meetings & Communication ●      Will attend management meetings to update attendees on current projects and duties●      Will attend scheduled virtual and in-person staff meetings●      Will conduct or participate in individual or panel interviews with Enliven Administrators and potential full-time, part-time, per diem, or contract nurses On-Call & After-Hours Responsibilities ●      Will participate in a rotating on-call shift schedule (Saturday and Sunday, 24 hrs/day) at$100/day to answer phone calls from Enliven nurses, specialty pharmacies, patients, and medical providers (clinical-related issues). If needed, appropriate, and within reason, will provide nursing care for patients or assist nurses in the field located in Arizona. Ray Landingin, RN (CEO and co-owner of Enliven), will determine the on-call schedule. The scheduled on-call Intake and Scheduling representative will handle non-clinical questions/issues.●      Address urgent operational or clinical issues that arise during after-hours.●      Respond promptly to calls and electronic notifications regarding staffing, patient care concerns, or emergencies during after-hours.●      Communicate any operational
