Beanstalk Academy is looking for Experienced Motivated Teacher Assistants to work in our dynamic, growing early childhood centers. Training would be provided. The Teacher’s Assistant would be working collaboratively with the Head Teacher to: Responsibilities: Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Develop schedules, lesson plans, and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime Track children’s progress and report to parents Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Required Skills and Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age and a High School graduate Child Development Associates Credential (CDA) certificate or completed or be enrolled in a BS/BA in Early Childhood Education AND have a Teaching Assistant - Level I, II, or III Certificate. Excellent communication and instructional skills Ability to multi-task Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable Passion for educating children Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Ability to Relocate: Bronx, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
