What You'll Be Doing: Install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automated, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to PLCs, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment Conducts electrical planning, preventative maintenance, and programming for process logic control systems (PLC’s) platforms, instrumentation, and human-machine interfaces (HMI) Installs repairs and calibrates electronic to pneumatic converters or pneumatic to electronic converters or a combination of both Repairs electronic equipment instruments such as ultrasonic, radar, and other conventional level controls Repairs electronic equipment instruments such as photo eyes, proximity controls, and associated equipment and controls Repairs and calibrates temperature sensing instruments with capillary and bulb, instruments with thermocouple and electric output and resistive temperature detectors (RTD’s) Be prepared to work a flexible, 8, 10, or 12 hour schedule that will include off shifts and weekends. Works on-call status as required based on rotating schedule Other duties as assigned Requirements: Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or Journeyman Instrument Maintenance/Electrical Technician (Preferred) 2-3 years of equivalent experience programming, troubleshooting and repairing PLC’s (Siemens PCS7/WinnCC, Rockwell/Allen Bradley) and distributive control systems. High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required Experience in AutoCAD (Preferred) Experience with ammonia refrigeration (Preferred) AS-i/Profibus networks (Preferred) Comprehension of electrical schematics, blue prints, and P&ID drawings. Experienced in different brands of variable frequency drives Experienced with maintenance, set-up, and calibration of all types of process instrumentation Teamwork – able to work with people in such a manner as to build high morale and group commitments to goals and objectives. Openness and Communication – able to communicate with others in a warm and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport. Decision Making and Problem Solving – able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to use reason, even when dealing with emotional topics. Demonstrate initiative and sense of urgency- Pushes self and others to achieve results, pursues everything with energy, drive and a need to finish. Acts with a reasonable amount of planning and consideration.
