Job Title Facilities Technician II - Anson County Job Description Position Overview: We areseeking a Facilities Technician II for a full-time role that offers an opportunity to support facilities maintenance on the LL Polk Campus in Polkton, NC. This position reports to the Director of Facilities in Anson County, works closely with all members of the department in the repair and maintenance of college facilities, and is responsible for the completion of work requests assigned and general care of the facilities and grounds. About You: Are you a self-starter with troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities? Are you motivated to learn and excel in a community college environment? If you have general knowledge of facilities maintenance and are eager to contribute and grow in your technical skills we encourage you to apply. Essential Duties Summary Responsible for cleaning and maintaining all facilities (buildings) and properties (grounds, equipment, cars, etc.). Assist with security of facilities. Assist with special events including set up and clean up. Look for and report facility and property problems. Perform routine maintenance such as painting, plumbing, mechanical and electrical repairs. Perform a variety of laboring duties as assigned. Ability to be on call or work evenings if needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent A valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift and place at least 70 lbs. on an ongoing basis Knowledge of general maintenance Preferred Qualifications Ability to work independently and with people from diverse backgrounds A helpful demeanor Self-motivated and well-organized Good judgment skills Physical Demands Ability to lift and place at least 70 lbs. on an ongoing basis Special Conditions Eligibility Summary Eeo Statement Summary South Piedmont Community College provides equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees based on job related criteria without reference to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, genetic information, or any other legally protected classification.
