Maintenance Engineer

Gpac is partnering with a well-established, premium ice manufacturer that has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and internal growth that is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer for their facility in the Springfield Gardens area of New York, someone who enjoys solving problems, working with modern equipment, and being part of a team that values professionalism and accountability.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment; troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment.May be responsible for operating processing machinery and reducing downtime of equipment in the facility.Advanced understanding and application of blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation for the proper maintenance of manufacturing and facility equipment.Basic understanding of water plant operations and maintenance to include the following equipment: Ice Makers, Compressors, Heat Exchangers, Ammonia and Freon Refrigeration Systems, Pumps, Condensers, and CompressorsEnsures that manufacturing equipment is functional and supplies are ready.Ordering and inventory control of repair parts and ready service equipment for the safe and optimal function of the plant.Tests production quality by visually inspecting ice for clarity, cube size, and hole space.Understanding of root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.Minor facility and building grounds maintenance including changing lightbulbs, painting, and minor plant structural repairs.Ability to instruct and coach others in the usage of tools and equipment to conduct general facility maintenance.This position may require knowledge of bagging product and occasionally directs production workflow based on production equipment output.Can facilitate basic data analysis for root cause identificationCan conduct basic electrical and electronic systems maintenance without supervision.  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Required: 6-8 years of work experience in an industrial maintenance operationMaintenance Certification from ONE of the following:Journeyman Certification/License in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical DisciplinesCertified Assistant Refrigeration Operator- Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians AssociationCertified Maintenance Technician Level III- International Maintenance InstituteCertified Maintenance and Reliability Technician- Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals Preferred: 1.8+ years of work experience in an industrial maintenance operation2pletion of TWO of the following Certifications:Programmable Logic Controller Certification- Electronics Technicians Association InternationalJourneyman Certification/License in Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical Disciplines-Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator- Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians AssociationCertified Maintenance Technician Level III- International Maintenance Institute  WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU: Competitive market wageGreat benefitsLong-term growth opportunities This company is urgently looking to make a hire, we are in the process of arranging interviews, If interested and serious, please send your confidential resume to Rick at rick.spinnergogpac for immediate considerationAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
