Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Driver in Harlingen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service while patrolling a dynamic retail location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, offering a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will engage with the public, respond to incidents, and be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity in every interaction. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour Job Schedule:DayTimeTue01:00 PM - 11:30 PMWed01:00 PM - 11:30 PMThur01:00 PM - 11:30 PMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a retail environment while providing excellent customer service.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate emergency response activities as needed.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other prohibited activities.Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide assistance to customers, staff, and visitors as appropriate.Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal protocols.Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.Maintain proper handling and control of assigned firearm according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.Minimum Requirements:A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.At least one year of security-related experience is required.A current armed guard card or license is required.You must be at least 21 years of age.Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.Applicants must be able to ride a bike.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
