The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$126, - $208,Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?Travelers is seeking Senior Director to lead our Agile Product Management Community of Practice. This role will support the development of the Agile Product Management discipline through the Community of Practice and beyond. This role will develop and execute training to address needs/gaps/opportunities for both new and existing employees.This position is the primary point of accountability to Business Partners and other parties for the management and implementation of the multiple large size Projects or medium to large sized Programs that support achievement of complex unit or corporate goals. This position could also be to manage and oversee a Program Management Office (PMO) for an area or division with typical PMO activities such as the deployment and socialization of Project Management standards, methods, tools, metrics, etc. Additionally, it could be a position responsible for management and oversight of a Business or Technology Portfolio within a division. In every case, these are efforts involving significant risk and complexity, large numbers of resources, complex organizational change issues and support achievement of enterprise and/or strategic corporate goals.What Will You Do?The Sr. Project Director controls planning and execution of the Projects' or Program's activities and resources to ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met.The Sr. Project Director works with minimal supervision and is responsible for applying advanced Project Management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to Project deliverables, processes, and systems in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations.The Sr. Project Director operates within defined parameters using a proven Project Management Methodology with flexibility to merge different methodologies in accomplishing collective goals.Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Bachelor's degree in a related field. 3 years of experience managing others and/or project teams. Manages team development, very active in the mentoring of members of the PM community, may have direct management responsibility of PMs. Charged with mid-Project recovery of at risk Projects. Recommends rescoping, postponement, or cancellation as needed.
