Torrey Pines Animal Hospital - Job Summary: Join our compassionate and dedicated animal care team as a Veterinary Receptionist As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for both pets and their owners. Your exceptional organizational skills and friendly demeanor will ensure smooth clinic operations while supporting our mission to provide outstanding veterinary care. Key Responsibilities: Warmly greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Answer phone calls promptly and assist with inquiries or appointment scheduling. Schedule appointments accurately using Cornerstone software to optimize clinic efficiency. Process client check-ins and check-outs, collect payments, and manage financial transactions. Maintain and update client records with accuracy and confidentiality. Educate clients about our services, pricing, and policies. Coordinate with the veterinary team to streamline patient flow and enhance client satisfaction. Keep the reception area clean and organized. Display empathy and professionalism in sensitive or emotional client interactions. Stay informed about clinic services, promotions, and any policy updates. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role (veterinary setting preferred). Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology is a plus. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computer software and phone systems. Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism. Passion for animals and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
