This role is crucial in ensuring that field operations run efficiently, safely, and profitably while maintaining top-tier quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction, mechanical systems, and wastewater treatment plant projects. Our commitment to safety, integrity, and excellence has made us a trusted name in heavy civil construction.Key Responsibilities:Safety Leadership:Lead by example in implementing company and client safety policies.Plan for and ensure job site safety compliance, including required safety equipment.Conduct and oversee effective daily safety meetings.Complete all required safety reports within 24 hours.Pre-Construction Planning:Review project documents, contracts, submittals, plans, and specifications.Assist in planning personnel, equipment, tools, and material needs.Coordinate with the equipment department and ensure material availability and proper handling.Construction Execution:Develop and implement weekly and daily work plans to meet project goals.Apply appropriate means and methods to optimize production while maintaining safety, quality, and profitability.Manage and mentor field personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.Oversee subcontractor activities and ensure project site cleanliness and organization.Utilize anti-theft systems to protect company property.Maintain accurate construction documentation (change orders, purchase orders, RFIs, submittals, daily reports, photos, and records).Keep supervisors informed about project progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.Post-Construction Responsibilities:Conduct final project walk-throughs with owners, architects, engineers, and project managers.Qualifications:10+ years of construction operations experience in heavy civil water/wastewater construction.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus.Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing heavy civil construction projects.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other construction management software.Ability to read and interpret construction contracts, blueprints, and specifications.Willingness to travel to remote construction sites as required.Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.Preferred Licenses & Certifications:Mechanical & Wastewater Treatment Plant Knowledge and ExperienceOSHA 10 & OSHA 30 CertificationsConfined Space TrainingFall Protection TrainingExcavation Competent Person TrainingTraffic Control Supervisor CertificationRegistered Stormwater Inspector/SWPPP CertificationFirst Aid/CPR TrainingAsbestos Supervisor TrainingDefensive Driving & Reasonable Suspicion TrainingBenefits & Perks:Compensation Perks:Competitive Salary ($110,000 - $135,000)401(k) with Employer MatchingPaid Time OffHoliday PayAnnual Performance BonusesWeekly Pay CycleHealth & Wellness Perks:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceFlexible Savings Account (FSA)Life & Disability Insurance (Basic, Short-Term & Long-Term)Gym Membership ReimbursementSafety Equipment Provided (hard hat, gloves, etc.)Work-Life Balance Perks:Paid Time Off (Vacation & Sick Days)Holiday PayCareer Development Perks:Training & Certifications (Safety, Technical, OSHA, Fall Protection, etc.)Unique & Additional Perks:Company Vehicle / Car Allowance / Mileage ReimbursementUniform Provision (Safety Gear & Work Apparel)Company Events (BBQs, holiday parties, golf outings, ball games, etc.)*** Potential relocation package for the right candidate ***Work Schedule:Full-Time PositionMonday to Friday (hours may vary based on project demands)Work Location:Project locations may vary depending on assignments.
