This client is a financial institution offering trustee and custodial solutions for institutional investors as well as individuals and businesses. The Senior Manager, Securities is a new role in the organization to lead the custodial function in all areas, which include pooled funds, GICs, fixed income, and listed securities. Overseeing a team of four direct reports and 8 total reports, the primary responsibilities include: Responsibilities:Leading and coaching the team, ensuring team members are equipped and trained to deliver quality service to clientsRepresenting the team in strategy sessions and meetings to ensure alignment with organizational objectivesBuilding collaborative relationships across the organizationBuilding relevant metrics to manage performanceDeveloping/improving procedures and processes for the custody of all assets under administrationReviewing processes and controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of data and contributing to operational risk managementDeveloping and managing relationships with vendorsEnsuring clear reporting and communications to clients and stakeholdersCreating a department roadmap that outlines the steps needed to move from the current state to the strategic future state.
