Northbrook Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Manager of Public Safety to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors at our facility. The Manager of Public Safety is responsible for the security team at Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center and Northbrook Behavioral Health Hospital (a shared facility).Responsibilities:Confers with management to develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols for public safety and emergency preparednessManage and supervise a team of security personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluationConduct regular security assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with hospital leadership, departments, and staff to ensure seamless communication and coordinationDevelop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency response agenciesEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and accrediting agencies' standardsAnalyze and report on security-related incidents and trends to inform strategic decisionsRequirements:Minimum of 5 years of security experience required, supervisory experience preferredHospital and/or Behavioral health experience preferredSORA Security Certification strongly preferred.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a teamExcellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
