Reporting to the Executive Director, this is a great role for someone who wants to work three days per week (a mixture of home and in the office). The successful candidate needs to have strong hands-on Controller experience and provide reliable information and financial acumen to the Executive Director. Responsibilities:Preparing monthly financial statements and variance analysisReconciling all accountsProcessing payrollInvoicingManaging grantsCalculating and remitting GSTReconciling donor reportsPreparing the annual budget and quarterly forecastsAccounts payable invoice coding, entry, and EFT/cheques paymentSuper user for accounting softwareLiaising with external auditors and preparing working papersProviding administration of timesheets, expense claims, and vacation requestsOther ad hoc projectsQualifications:Professional accounting designation (extensive equivalent work experience will be considered)Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsA high degree of accuracy and demonstrated attention to detailExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and smaller entity accounting softwareExperience with Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations (ASNPO)Job ID: DB744433963 If you are interested in this position and meet the qualifications, apply today We thank all applicants; however, only those who are authorized to work in Canada or are selected for an interview will be contacted.
