Job DescriptionHardware Engineer-DescriptionAbout the job you’re consideringAs a Hardware Engineer with Capgemini Engineering, you will play a critical role in designing, validating, and supporting electronic systems for our clients. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality hardware solutions that meet industry standards and client requirements. This position emphasizes strong design knowledge, hardware support, and expertise in validation and compliance.Your roleLead and present technical reviews to internal stakeholders and external clients, demonstrating technical depth and communication skills.Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including detailed presentations, technical reports, and review materials.Perform and update design validation calculations to align with evolving review requirements and project specifications.Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, manufacturing, and testing teams to support existing designs and ensure seamless integration.Provide technical solutions for risk mitigation, design support, and obsolescence-driven redesigns to maintain product viability.Conduct hardware testing, preparation, and modification of electronic boards to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Review schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring compliance with reference designs and best practices for RF, power, and signal integrity.Your skills and experienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or related field) with 8+ years in hardware engineering, including PCB design and component selectionBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or related field) with 8+ years in hardware engineering, including PCB design and component selectionBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or related field) with 8+ years in hardware engineering, including PCB design and component selection.Select major electronic components such as microcontrollers, operational amplifiers, power modules, and relays.Understanding PCB design principles including DFA and DFM standards, and analyzing analog schematics for power budgeting and thermal management.Familiarity with compliance standards and pre-compliance testing processes including UL certification and EMI/EMC requirements.Experience with PCB design tools (Altium), RF simulation tools (CST), Python-based test automation, and providing customer-facing technical guidance for RF and embedded system.Life at CapgeminiCapgemini supports all aspects of your well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
