All work will be assigned by team supervisors, and registration of completion performed by the Lab Technician using a lab information system (LIMS). The technician will perform daily duties within the sequencing lab including sample and reagent preparation, consumable stocking, and routine maintenance tasks. The Sequencing Technician will also assist other analysts with high throughput DNA extractions using semi and fully automated platforms. Prior experience and comfort working in a high throughput lab environment performing repetitive routine work is preferred. Knowledge or interest in lab automation, plant genetics, and lab information management systems is a plus. This position will report to the STA labs team lead and is located in RTP at the Davis site Comments/Special Instructions This role would provide additional support for ongoing work for a months. This role is in sequencing lab that processes hundreds of thousands of plant samples annually for customers.
