Tool Maker/Machinist

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Tool Maker/Machinist for a local client in Georgetown, DE.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Blueprint readingUse manual mill, manual lathe and surface grindersResponsible for maintaining a clean and organized work areaPerform minor repairs on molds (pins, blades, etc.)CNC Milling (experience preferred)EDM machine (experience preferred)Fabricate intricate mold components from printsPerform all repairs on molds3-D MillingPerforms other tasks as directed by supervisor Qualifications:Manual dexterity and coordinationAbility to read and comprehend work instructionsAbility to read blueprints (preferred)Great attention to detailWork well with othersMechanically inclinedEducation and/or Experience:High school diploma or equivalentShop experience is preferredExperience in Injection Molding is preferredMathematical Skills:Proficient in Shop MathProficient in measuring in tenths with tools such a micrometersReasoning Ability:Ability to recognize non-compliance to work standards and contact appropriate supervision or management staff Physical Demands:Extended hours standing and repetitive tasksStanding, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds regularlyWork Environment:Manufacturing environment with associated noises, smells, and temperaturesShift:First Shift: 8 am to 4:30 pm, M-FThompson First Group is an equal opportunity employer.
