Our large manufacturing client located in Peoria, Illinois, is looking for a CNC Programmer, to add to their team.JOB DESCRIPTIONCreate new CNC programs, or modify/update existing CNC programs as required for manufacturing Provide programming support during part prove-outs. Update program as neededCreate new or update existing manufacturing process documentation of programmed parts Assist with program issues or updates needed on a promptly manner to ensure manufacturing of parts to specificationProvide programming shop support Participate of engineering team meetings, and collaborate as neededProvide status updates and documentation as neededWork with cross-functional teams, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers & operations leaders on assigned projects or activities REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar field is preferred, but not requiredAt least two years of experience as a CNC programmer is required Strong knowledge of machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling and tapping is requiredMust be able to read/write programs in G codeExperience programming in CAM software (i.e. NX, Creo/Pro-E, EdgeCam, etc.) is desired, but not requiredExperience with 3D modeling in CAD software (i.e. NX, Creo/Pro-E, Solidworks, etc.) is desired, but not requiredUnderstanding of fixture design is desiredExperience selecting cutting tools is desiredMust have good blueprint reading skills and experience with GD&T Must enjoy working in a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills are requiredMust be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer softwareCandidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
