We are looking for a Drivability Technician to join our growing team In this role, you'll diagnose, maintain, and repair drivability systems—engine, electrical, transmission, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and more—ensuring vehicles run reliably.You'll collaborate with service advisors to communicate repairs and timelines. By working at a Ford dealership, you can be a part of a brand that honors the past, and is invested in the future.Join the Ford Family where we value service to each other and the world as much as to our customers Benefits: Competitive Pay - Flat Rate (Based on Experience) Health, Medical, Dental, and Vision 401K Plan Paid time off and vacation Paid training Growth opportunities Employee vehicle purchase plans Family owned and operated Long term job security (low turnover) Responsibilities: Complete repairs listed on repair orders efficiently and per dealership/OEM standards Perform test drives and system/component tests using advanced diagnostic equipment Diagnose drivability issues: engine performance, electrical, fuel, emissions, transmission, HVAC, steering, brakes, and suspension Communicate potential additional repairs, timelines, and costs to service advisors for customer approval Accurately execute warranty and non-warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications Document all diagnostic procedures, findings, and work performed in service records Conduct multi-point vehicle inspections and recommend preventative maintenance Maintain a clean, organized work area and caring handling of tools and dealership equipment Stay current with technical bulletins and participate in ongoing training Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent training 2+ years of experience as an automotive service technician, preferably with drivability/diagnostic specialization Ford Certification Highly Preferred ASE or other OEM Certifications preferred Strong experience diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive systems Proficient use of diagnostic scan tools, multimeters, oscilloscope, and technical documentation Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Strong verbal communication for effective tech-advisor-customer dialogue Basic computer literacy (work order software, parts/inventory systems, and general office applications) Valid driver's license and clean driving record (DMV Printout Required) Own basic mechanic’s tool set; familiarity with dealership-level tools and procedures Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a busy, team-oriented environment We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
