You’ll receive medical, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, a 403(b) retirement plan, paid holidays and time off, a dependent tuition benefit, and many other perquisites of joining the High Point University.QUALIFICATIONS:EducationTraining as a Dental Assistant II, preferably through a year-long Dental Assisting programNC State Board of Dental Examiners X-ray certificationCoronal polishing and Dental Sealant certificationCPR or BLS certificationExperience and TrainingPreferred clinical experience in a high-functioning dental officeTraining on an electronic medical recordEPIC training is a major plus, but not necessaryKnowledge, Skills, Ability:Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental patient screening and medical history documentationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTime managementPunctualityA positive attitudeProfessionalism as a representative of High Point University HealthReceptive to feedback, performance improvement, and continuous coachingFlexibility to cover other offices under High Point University HealthESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works with elite HPU Health providersContinuously assesses the doctor or hygienists’ schedules to ensure optimum patient flowResponds to patient, clinical, and operational concerns timely and effectively.Cross-trains with Patient Relations staff to be able to perform their functions in the event they are absentOther duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical OperationsSupports practice and organizational goalsACCOUNTABILITY:Director of Clinical OperationsEvaluation: Ongoing performance reviews is conducted along with an annual assessment by the CDO and includes input from the faculty and students.
