- The Manager, School and Teacher Programs will manage a team of design and deliver Professional Learning for educators.
- This role is responsible for supporting the delivery, maintenance, and growth of high-quality Professional Learning opportunities for pre-K -12th grade teachers in the areas of Science, STE(A)M, teacher leadership, and whole school improvement.
- Responsibilities Lead the planning, development, delivery, and evolution of the Museum's professional learning opportunities for pre-K - 12th grade educators in support of the Education division's strategic priorities.
- Oversee and support the daily operations of the Professional Learning team as they plan and implement workshops and programs.
- Manage tuition and fee-based programs for integration of NGSS-based science teaching into multidisciplinary subjects and whole school transformation using best practices in science and STEAM education. Build opportunities for collaboration, coordination, and integration with the other programs within the Professional Learning Department and the Education Division.
- Advance the Education division's strategic priority of becoming a source of inclusive and equitable science and STEAM learning by building internal expertise in equitable science and STEAM instruction.
- Support efforts to research the impact and evaluate the effectiveness of Professional Learning programs.
Identify, remain current in, and apply best practices in pre-K - 12th grade education, teacher preparation, and professional learning and support staff growth in those areas.
Develop and maintain productive partnerships with education communities and external organizations such as universities, school districts, individual schools, and professional groups.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education or related discipline and 5-7 years' related experience required.A minimum of 3 years' experience managing complex teams and the ability to oversee and support the daily operations of the team.Master's degree preferred.Multi-project management experience.Experience of leading teams and managing organizational priorities.Deep familiarity with the pre-K - 12 science and STEAM education landscape required; experience as a formal K-12 science educator (with increased emphasis on grades pre-K to 8).Familiarity with programming in a variety of education settings including schools, out of school time, science centers and/or other museums.Strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness required.Detail-oriented; excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking required.Must demonstrate comfort in a team environment, with strong collaboration skills.Excellent project management, planning and organizational skills.Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite required.Experience in using digital media and technology in educational and/or program settings required.Must demonstrate the ability to be proactive, work independently and accomplish results in high-level service environment.Ability to occasionally work hours outside of regular business hours (i.e., early morning, evening events, and offsite events).Must have reliable transportation to be able to attend offsite meetings or programs.Must have a valid driver's license. Language :- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals.

- Ability to calculate basic math calculations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000.
