DevSecOps Engineer

We are supporting the Air Force by developing a forecasting dashboard powered by AI. This will be delivered initially as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in IL-2, with plans to scale to IL-4 in AWS. The product will feature chatbots, dashboards, alerts/notifications, and reports, focusing on demand forecasting, inventory and stock issues, maintenance tracking, and data analysis.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed belowUnderstand and remediate complex issues and topologies of large enterprisesDevelop Ansible playbooks, roles, and modulesDefine and setup the process for managing Ops developed playbooksAdminister Ansible infrastructure, perform maintenance and configuration and provide SME level support.Auto configuration of standalone or cluster for middleware and database infrastructures, including the provisioning of Middleware and Database components after system builds.Generate auto start/stop scripts, auto registration to load balancers, creation / cloning of database schemas using Ansible.Generalize the ops playbooks for other environments and feedback / handover to the Platform Solutions team (where appropriate).Provide advice and recommendation to improve the standards and policies (naming and organization conventions, etc) for the platform environment.Provide technical support to IT ops around automation solution usageProvide assistant to the DevOps team to develop, configure and administer overall DevOps and IT automation solutions.AWS GovCloud Architecture & Management: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and compliant AWS GovCloud environments for DoD applications.Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to DoD cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, RMF, FedRAMP, Zero Trust). Implement STIGs, security baselines, and automated security scanning (SAST/DAST).Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.Containerization & Orchestration: Deploy and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters in AWS GovCloud, leveraging services like Amazon EKS, ECSRequirementsAbility to obtain a security clearance is required.At least four (4) years of experience using Ansible for DevOps Development with cloud environments and their supporting infrastructures.Strong experience with Ansible Playbook development and Ansible CLI deployment.Advanced-level scripting in Bash.Log shipping application logs to Splunk and AWS Cloud watchExpert level RHEL 8, using cloud-init for provisioning.At least 3 years of experience administrating Kubernetes and creating deployments yaml (any flavor, but prefer EKS)Excellent working knowledge of Jenkins, GitExpertise implementing a continuous integration (CI) or continuous development (CD) pipeline in Jenkins using Declarative Pipeline languageKnowledge required to build and manage Dockerfile to be deployed on Kubernetes deployments.Experienced with frequent, incremental code, testing and deployment.Ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic environmentPlease join us, as together we build a better world one mission at a time powered by Technology and its People
