TAL Academy - Math Teacher TAL Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Teacher with Special Education certification to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging math lessons tailored to meet the needs of our students. This role requires collaboration with administration, language pathologists, support staff, and families to ensure student success. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement math lesson plans aligned with NYS Standards in a creative and engaging way Differentiate instruction and modify curriculum as needed to support students Administer periodic assessments and utilize data to track student progress, inform instruction, and adjust teaching strategies Conduct regular progress monitoring and maintain accurate records of student performance Write and update progress reports, including IEP-related documentation, in a timely manner Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents regarding student progress, challenges, and strategies for support Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student confidence, engagement, and a growth mindset in mathematics Participate weekly in team meetings to discuss student progress Participate in weekly professional development and stay current on best practices in math instruction and special education   Skills and Qualifications: State approved Masters degree or higher Ability to build good relationships with children, parents, teachers and staff Ability to work well with children from different backgrounds and varying abilities Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, assessment strategies, and data-driven decision-making Well-organized and self-driven to devise and adopt new techniques for teaching and keeping the class orderly Strong classroom management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of and comfort with the use of technology Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
