Monteith Operations Interns will gain exposure to many kinds of projects with myriad contract amounts and will work with industry leaders across our organization. The paid program will last 12 weeks next summer. What You'll Do At MonteithSpend your summer with us at Monteith Construction in the Triad This role can be customizable, depending on the student's interests. Some of the things you will be involved with, but not limited to, are:Observe Owner/Architect/Contractor MeetingsObserve Preinstall and Pull MeetingsGain a general overview of our Scheduling, VDC, Accounting, Marketing, Business Development, Preconstruction and Estimating processesHelp to ensure on-site safety as well as compliance with all company policies and proceduresSupport the project management team with subcontractor and supplier coordination, material tracking, file management, document control (submittals, RFIs, and change orders), and progress reportingInteract with trade partners and vendors regarding technical and contractual mattersExperience You Should HaveMust currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and seeking a degree in a related field/construction management programProficient in Microsoft OfficeProblem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writingRequired to Thrill at MonteithNo Brilliant Jerks.
