City, State:Montgomery, TexasTitle:Conference Service AttendantLocation:Lake Conroe, TXFLSA:Non-Exempt Status:Full-timeReports to: Banquet ManagerPay Range: $11/HR Plus Banquet Service Charge Job Summary: The Conference Service Attendant is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down meeting rooms, banquet spaces, and event areas in accordance with event specifications and brand standards. This role plays a vital part in creating seamless, polished experiences for guests attending meetings, conferences, and special events.Essential Functions and Duties:Set up and break down meeting rooms and event spaces according to event orders, including tables, chairs, staging, linens, and audio-visual componentsEnsure all spaces are clean, organized, and guest-ready prior to event start timesAssist with refreshing rooms between sessions or during multi-day events, including resetting water, supplies, and cleanlinessRespond promptly and professionally to last-minute changes or requests from meeting planners, guests, or the conference services teamMaintain all event equipment in good working order and report any damage or inventory needs to managementEnsure proper handling and storage of all furniture and event materialsSupport banquet and catering teams as needed with food & beverage delivery, bussing, or replenishment during eventsFollow safety procedures for lifting, moving equipment, and setting up rooms to prevent injury and maintain OSHA complianceMaintain positive communication with the Conference Services, Sales, and Banquet teams to ensure event successDeliver excellent service with attention to detail, timeliness, and guest satisfaction throughout all stages of the eventReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Required Experience, Education, and Skills:Previous experience in hotel conference services, banquets, or event support preferredAbility to read and execute room setup diagrams and event ordersStrong attention to detail and ability to follow directionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDependable, flexible, and team-oriented with a professional attitudeMust be able to lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs and move furniture or equipment safelyAbility to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs requireWork Environment:Work takes place in banquet rooms, meeting spaces, back-of-house areas, and storage roomsFrequent standing, walking, lifting, and physical movement requiredExposure to variable indoor temperatures and occasional outdoor work during event setups or transitionsFast-paced environment with time-sensitive responsibilities and frequent guest interactionOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
