This position is ideal for a motivated civil engineer who wants to gain hands-on experience across residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects while working closely with senior engineers and project managers. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and AnalysisAssist in the design of civil engineering projects including grading, utilities, stormwater management, and roadways. Prepare and review plans, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Project CoordinationSupport project managers in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting. Regulatory Compliance & PermittingAssist with preparation of permit applications for local, state, and federal approvals. Field Investigations & Data CollectionConduct site visits to gather field data on utilities, grading, and environmental conditions.
Assist in preparing reports on site evaluations and provide design recommendations. Document findings and support issue resolution during the design process. Collaboration & CommunicationCommunicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
Participate in team meetings and provide updates on assigned tasks. Project Support & DocumentationAssist in preparing contract documents and construction specifications. Review contractor submittals and shop drawings. Maintain well-organized project records and design documentation.
Professional DevelopmentContinue to develop technical skills through mentorship and training. Stay current with industry standards and best practices. Participate in professional organizations to support career growth. QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Certification: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) required.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years in civil engineering, preferably land development. Technical Skills: AutoCAD, Civil 3D; knowledge of grading, stormwater, and utility systems. Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail. Preferred:GIS knowledge.
Familiarity with environmental permitting processes.
Experience
