Overview Unified Women's Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of Premier OB-GYN to seek a Breast Ultrasound Technologist in Winter Park, FL.Growing OB/GYN Practice seeking flexible Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for Breast Ultrasounds (Subcontractor) Offices located in Winter Park, Oviedo, and Lake Mary, FL.The Breast Ultrasound technologist works directly with the operations manager, the office manager, and any other staff assigned to the location. The Sonographer will perform clinical breast ultrasound procedures utilizing a background in anatomy, physiology, physics, and instrumentation to provide technical information to aid the radiologist in diagnosis. A sonographer must also possess certain values and abilities, including social perceptiveness, critical thinking, clear communication, active listening, and patient problem sensitivity.Location: 2460 Howell Market LaneWinter Park, Florida 32792 ResponsibilitiesPerforming the ultrasound and ensuring the transducer (probe) is capturing images correctlyExplaining the ultrasound procedure to patients to avoid confusionMaintaining ultrasound equipment and sterilizing the room in which the procedure takes placeEvaluating the images for quality, and interpreting what the image capturedPresenting images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare teamMaintaining patient records and adding medical notes related to the ultrasound procedureWork closely with the Mammography technologists and Radiologist to ensure the capture of appropriate information and prior imaging.Review all prior images and reports before completing an examUtilize PACS, EMR, and any other systems related to imagingAdditional Job Functions:Attend Unified and UMAMS meetingsComplete all assigned compliance and education requirementsAssist in special projectsOther duties as assignedTraining of other technologists as needed QualificationsARDMS registered sonographerYou must also have, or be eligible to obtain within six months of hire, an ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography certification.Minimum5 years experience as a Breast SonographerExcellent communication skills both written and oralHighly organized and detail-orientedPrevious experience working in an imaging environment is highly desirableProficient in PACS and RIS SystemsProficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job dutiesMust be able to understand and follow safety instructions provided in EnglishRole requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirementsAbility to interact with customers, clients, or regulators in English as neededMust have the ability to perform quality obstetric and gynecological examsMust be able to analyze images, identify abnormalities and communicate findings to the ProvidersMust have the ability to work independently, while having the flexibility to coordinate with the sonography team to cover all 3 locationsCommitted to proving compassionate, high quality patient careBenefit: Flexible time off schedulesJob Types: Part-time, ContractAbility to Commute:Winter Park, FL 32792 (Required)Ability to Relocate:Winter Park, FL 32792: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
