Position Description The seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school need. Successful candidates will teach at the Texas State University campus in San Marcos, Texas. This posting is for the Fall , Spring , and Summer semesters. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration as the need arises. Required Qualifications A minimum of a master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry Strong academic background in one or more of the following areas: general chemistry, biochemistry, and organic chemistry Excellent written and oral communication skills. Preferred Qualifications A Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry or a closely related field. Previous experience teaching undergraduate courses as the instructor of record Previous experience coordinating and developing curriculum for undergraduate laboratories
