Key qualifications include:Experience & Education:Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in engineering or maintenance.Completion of courses in engineering or maintenance preferred.Language Skills:Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.Technical Skills:Familiarity with basic tools, electrical systems, air conditioning units, and pumps.Ability to repair or replace PVC and copper piping, including soldering.Capable of basic equipment repairs (e.g., pump and motor replacement).Proficiency in at least one of the following areas, with above-average skills in two and basic knowledge in the rest:Air conditioning & refrigerationElectricalMechanicalPlumbingPneumatic/electronic systems & controlsKitchen equipmentEnergy conservationSystems Knowledge:Working knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance, energy management, and system controls.Ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.Physical Requirements:Ability to bend, lift (up to 75 pounds), and stoop.Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.Customer Service & Leadership:Strong customer-service orientation and hospitality skills.Ability to train and mentor junior engineers (e.g., Engineer I, Engineer II).Capable of performing Engineer-on-Duty responsibilities, including facility readings and rounds.
