Position Description At a GlanceLegrand has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the Data Power and Control Team. The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing sourcing operations that build value-driven vendor partnerships with a focus on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness that support overall organizational strategies. This is a remote position. What Will You Do?Develop and execute sourcing strategies for commodity and/or suppliers while leveraging division and corporate tools and best practices to deliver the required cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and supply chain resiliency metrics Achieve supplier management and compliance expectations including CSR, risk management and supplier financial health for the business, as required by division and corporate metricsNurtures vendor partnerships, tracks KPI's and goals and monitors scorecards to measure and evaluate vendor performanceDevelop supply resiliency for the business in current and future supply base by ensuring the supplier has capacity, capability, and inventory management to support business dynamics Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and agreements, optimizing costs without compromising quality or service levelsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and ensure alignment with current and future sourcing strategiesEvaluates new sources, methods, and vendors to ensure a reliable supply of materials by studying market intelligence and conducting frequent market analysis and benchmarking to anticipate price fluctuationsEvaluate and address risk factors related to current and future supply base, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulationsServe as point of escalation for critical shortages to ensure operations can protect business continuityCollaborate with supply chain and engineering teams on supplier development, supplier setup, audit and compliance Manage processes, create efficiencies, and control costs using ERP systems and software toolsOther duties as assigned Qualifications Education:Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field is requiredProject management certification is preferredExperience:5+ years of supply chain or sourcing experience is requiredPreferred Skills:Foundational knowledge of raw metals like steel, aluminum products is preferredStrong computer skills (MS Teams, Smartsheet, Excel to include Pivot Tables, Power Point) are requiredEffective verbal and written communication skills are requiredAbility to manage multiple programs/projects and work under uncertainty and to resolve conflict in a constructive manner is requiredAbility to work independently using sound organizational and time management skills is requiredAbility to apply mechanical principles to solve problems through ingenuity and collaboration with subject matter experts and key stakeholders is requiredAble to travel up to 40% is requiredThe above Job Description is representative of the responsibilities and qualifications necessary to be successful in this role.
