Summary : As a Facilities Maintenance Technician you will be responsible promptly and safely performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms minor maintenance repair work in one or more of the following areas: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, office remodeling and or/paintExecute building maintenance including but not limited to replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles and door knobsRepair locking systems on doors, files, cabinets and lockersTravel from the plant to the UHT Distribution Center to inspect facilities, buildings and grounds for routine maintenance; prioritize repairs and renovations as assignedResolve all assigned work orders at each facilityFollow Good Manufacturing PracticesFollow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etcCommunicates effectively with maintenance supervisorDemonstrates problem solving and decision making ability, as neededOther duties as assigned or requiredWork Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
