We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with more than six years of experience supporting enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL Server (2008–2022) administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, with advanced skills in SSIS, HA/DR solutions, database security, automation, and data integration. This role involves not only managing mission-critical databases but also mentoring junior DBAs, guiding modernization initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead administration, monitoring, and optimization of SQL Server (2008–2022) environments.Develop, deploy, and optimize SSIS packages for ETL and data warehouse integration.Architect and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including Always On, Log Shipping, Clustering, and Replication.Ensure database compliance with security best practices, encryption, and regulatory standards.Oversee logical and physical database design, creation, maintenance, and integrity.Manage backup, recovery, and failover strategies for critical systems.Automate administration tasks using PowerShell scripting.Provide administration support for MySQL databases.Mentor junior DBAs and collaborate across teams to improve performance and reliability.Contribute to database modernization projects (cloud migrations, automation, advanced monitoring). Mandatory SkillsExtensive expertise in SQL Server (2008–2022) administration, optimization, and troubleshooting.Strong skills in SSIS development, deployment, and tuning.Proven experience with HA/DR solutions: Always On, Log Shipping, Clustering, Replication.In-depth knowledge of database security best practices (encryption, compliance, auditing).Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for database automation.Experience with data warehouse integration.Hands-on experience with MySQL administration. Desirable SkillsExperience architecting cloud-based database solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS).Familiarity with automation/orchestration frameworks (Ansible, Terraform).Advanced knowledge of performance monitoring and tuning (SQL Profiler, Extended Events, third-party tools).Proven ability to design database roadmaps for modernization and scalability.Leadership experience mentoring DBAs or contributing to cross-functional IT strategy.Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and modern data pipelines.
