Are you a child/teen-focused Testing Psychologist passionate about providing thorough, practical, and understandable evaluations? Responsibilities include conducting psychological examinations and testing, as well as diagnosing, recommending treatment, and educational supports for child, teen, and young adult clients. You'll work with a wide range of clients, including those with learning differences, ADHD, Autism, Giftedness/2E, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues, to help them (and their parents) chart a path forward. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are necessary since you'll be working with parents, teachers, and treatment providers to coordinate and collaborate on care. Our ideal candidate holds a doctorate in psychology and has at least 2 years of equivalent professional experience fully focused on psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessment. If this describes you, please applyCompensation:$140,000 - $180,000 yearlyResponsibilities:Mind Matters Testing Psychologists are passionate about psychological and neuropsychological assessment and want to work at least 20 hours per week (2-3 clients per month). Responsibilities include:Providing psychological, neuropsychological, and developmental assessments, including Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) to youth ages 5+Ensuring that patients have proper resources by referring them to outside therapists, clinics, and other treatment facilitiesAttending school meetings and providing follow-up parent consultations to support prior clientsParticipating in twice-monthly in-house team meetings and case consultationsNew Clinicians are expected to see at least two clients per month. Initially, each evaluation requires 40-50 hours of clinical time, but decreases as you learn our systems and approachApplicants must be available to test in person at least eight days per month on a regular scheduleInterviews/feedback/report writing can be completed remotely, on a flexible scheduleAdditional day-to-day tasks will be discussed during the interview processQualifications:Must have a current state license to practice in the state you practice from the ASPPB (Association of State and Provincial Licensing Boards) Must have exceptional analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills At least two (2) years of experience providing Psychoeducational, developmental, and/or neuropsychological evaluations for children, teens, and/or adults with developmental, learning, attention, social-cognitive, and emotional issuesLicensed/License eligible in the State of CA  Licensed Psychologist (PSY) orLicensed Educational Psychologist (LEP)Doctoral degree in Clinical, School, or Educational Psychology or related field from an APA-accredited program OR a Master's Degree in Education in School Psychology with additional training in clinical psychology and assessmentIdeal applicants also have a strong interest and experience in one or more of the following: Autism assessmentsGiftedness/2E assessmentsDevelopmental assessments for preschool-aged childrenCollege/young adult assessments and/or Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs)Knowledge of current assessment measures and practicesExperience collaborating with elementary, middle, and/or high schoolsExceptional analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skillsBilingual language skills are a plusMind Matters clinicians experience the benefits of being in private practice, with the support and collegiality of a clinic. Psychologists choose their caseload and set most of their own work hours, but collaborate with each other in an effort to improve their skills and knowledge. Mind Matters provides all testing materials, equipment, supplies, and report writing/administrative support, along with ongoing opportunities for training and consultation.If you are an early-career psychologist or newer to testing, we mentor you within a private practice setting.
