Job Description AVP Middle Markets Underwriting Manager Job Summary Looking for a highly skilled and experienced AVP Middle Markets Underwriting Manager to lead a team of Property & Casualty production underwriters. Compensation Package Annual Base Salary: $130,000 - $215,000 Competitive benefits package, paid time off, professional development opportunities, etc. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of skilled Property & Casualty production underwriters. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key brokers to drive business growth. Foster a positive and engaging team culture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Oversee underwriting operations, ensuring adherence to technical standards and risk management practices. Travel as necessary to support team needs and strengthen broker relationships. Drive sales execution and deliver end-to-end solutions for customers, including international programs. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of middle market Property & Casualty underwriting experience. At least 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role. Experience with a similar-scale insurance carrier (e.g., AIG, CNA, Liberty, etc.). Strong knowledge of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and P&C industry dynamics. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Results-driven decision-making skills.
