Security Operations Jr. Analyst

Description Essential Job Functions:Assist ASOC analysts with monitoring security technologies (CCTV, access control, incident reporting platforms).Triage and document incidents under the guidance of senior analysts.Conduct roving patrols across Athens facilities in a company vehicle to ensure security presence and coverage.Fill site security staffing gaps as directed by ASOC leadership.Perform physical security checks (perimeter inspections, door checks, alarm testing, equipment verification).Provide visible deterrence to theft, vandalism, and trespassing through patrol activity.Support emergency response efforts (fire, medical, intrusions, hazardous conditions).Deliver clear, professional reports and communications from both ASOC and field assignments.Day In The LifeAs a Security Operations Jr. Analyst, you will divide your time between the ASOC and Athens facilities. At times, you will sit at an analyst workstation monitoring systems and documenting incidents. At other times, you will be deployed to the field to provide direct security support, ensuring coverage and verifying security measures at facilities. This is a shift-based role within a 24/7 operation, and you may be expected to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.About The TeamThe ASOC team is a growing unit within Athens Services, dedicated to protecting people, property, and Security Operations. Jr. Analysts (Patrol Rovers) are essential to bridge the gap between the command center and site operations, ensuring Athens facilities remain secure even during unexpected staffing challenges. The team values flexibility, teamwork, and a proactive approach to security.Required Qualifications:One (1) + year of experience in security, patrol operations, or customer service.Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact professionally with employees, contractors, and the public.Ability to write clear, concise reports.Comfortable working both in a command center environment and in the field.Must be able to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods and drive long distances between sites.Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a security operations center (SOC/GSOC) or as a security patrol officer.Knowledge of basic physical security controls (locks, alarms, CCTV).Familiarity with Southern California geography and road networks.Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.Physical/Environmental Demands:Physical:Driving, seeing, & hearing continuously.Oral/Written communication, analytical abilities, calculating, problem solving continuously.Walking, standing, & sitting frequently.Reaching, crouching, stooping, bending, & lifting less than or equal to 50 Lbs. occasionally.Eye/hand coordination continuously.Fingers use (typing, picking), holding (grasping), feet (foot pedals), wrist motion (flexion/rotation) frequently.Environmental:Exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, grease, oil, noise, chemicals frequently.Exposure to outside elements (hot/cold/rain conditions) frequently.Walking on potential slippery surfaces occasionally.Works inside and outside.Schedule: Hours are Flexible.
