Job Description DescriptionThe Motivation and Affective Psychopathologies Lab (MAPlab) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow with a strong interest and expertise in neuroimaging, specifically in fMRI and EEG. MAPlab's mission is to study cognitive-affective interactions underlying deficits in motivation, reinforcement learning and inhibitory control in neuropsychiatric conditions, specifically in substance use disorders. In MAPlab, special emphasis is placed on understanding disease mechanisms with an eye towards developing and validating clinically useful biomarkers to accelerate bench-to-bedside translation of lab-based assessments.ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Principal Investigator (Dr. Muhammad Parvaz), the postdoc fellow will be involved with fMRI and EEG tasks design, data acquisition, preprocessing, and data analysis.
